International Volunteer Day 2024

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Alexandria, Egypt, Ambassadors of Peace, Tolerance, and Sustainable Development launched a celebration in honor of International Volunteer Day, which falls annually on December 5. His Excellency, the Chairman Dr. “Mahmoud Shaaban” inaugurated the event, which was attended by a distinguished gathering of prominent personalities, business leaders, youth, and media representatives.

Dr. Mahmoud Shaaban highlighted that International Volunteer Day is an opportunity for organizations and relevant entities to enhance their contributions to local, national, and international development. This can be achieved by supporting the activities of these institutions and taking necessary measures to increase and develop awareness of the importance of volunteer service.

Participants and distinguished figures delivered speeches on the significance of volunteering in community development. They emphasized that volunteer work fosters a sense of belonging and social responsibility, enhancing community members’ cooperation and solidarity. They noted that volunteer initiatives contribute to developing individuals’ personal and professional skills, helping to build a more cohesive and advanced society.
